Summertime!

Here's another Toony Bin entry. The theme was "Summer", and I decided to play aroudn with a colored line technique on this beach girl. Her NAME is " Summer ", I think. Funny, the guy behind her looks just like one of my best buds, Jeremy James, of Vox Audio / Toxic Audio, only a bit buffer.

I REEEEEAAAAAALY like the colored line technique in this one. You're going to have to teach it to me some time!

Diddo on the colored line! It adds that extra bit of sunny brightness to the pic.

Hmm... That must be Keelan and Barbie at Cocoa Beach! Cute cute... Aahhhh.... And I notice that the contour lines are not black (as in a typical cartoon) but a kind of darkened Burnt Sienna or something, and the hair lacks contour lines, which creates a very nice effect, I think.

Thanks, gang. Ted Tucker showed me the colored line process I used here. I'm just experimenting...

Isn't the colored line approach what Disney classically used in their animated movies? I have always wanted to try and pull that off but it seems that the best way to do it, is with a wacom.

Disney does it a lot, that's true. I always liked that look. doing it with a Wacom is the ONLY way... well except for my Tablet PC I'm trying out right now....
